got trend.cgi working, but still have 2 issues:
1) I use severeal extra options for displaying different zones, trend.cgi does not seem to support this
2) after poking all the config items into the config files, trend.cgi does display a page with links but the rrdgraph displays "Error"
output to errlog:

rrdtool -v
RRDtool 1.0.48
trend.cgi: v1.3
routers2.cgi: routers.cgi Version v2.17
any ideas what else i can do to debug the rrd query, as no output is generated when calling to either errlog or errorpage from make_graph or rtr_params
regards,
