First, enable 'extendedtime' in the routers2.conf. That lets you hop back one timeperiod, if your rrd files are large enough - letting you go back a further 6 hours.
The awkward thing is that the data is actually available in the .rrd file (usually) but routers2 cannot easily get to it. At the moment, you would need to archive every 1/2 day, and that is not possible with the current routers2 and archiving.
