Separating the inbound and outbound traffic might not be possible, since I'm not sure that information is available via the API. IIRC there was in/out packet counts but not bytes. However I'll check when I'm back at work.

well done!!
I promise you a kiss if you are able to separate the inbound / outbound traffic :P

Seems that the part of the code which processes the NET report is completely missing! Somewhere along the line an older version must have been replaced and that piece of code has been lost

So, I'm rewriting the netreport() function now from scratch as I cant find a backup of this part. Everything else is there, though... :sweatdrop:

I'm not actually using the net stats here in our live system, so I'll need to do some investigation (when I get the free time...)

I'll get back on this one, feel free to send me a reminder if you dont hear anything in the next week

so i set level3 stats at 5 min. And replace guest name by the IP adress and the result remains the same.
./check_vmware.pl --config=vmconfig.cfg --mode=nagios --report=net --guest=xx.xxx.xx.xxx --debug

here is the command but i query the CPU:
./check_vmware.pl --config=vmconfig.cfg --mode=nagios --report=CPU --guest=xx.xxx.xx.xxx --debug

Either you don't have a guest called 'SERVER', or else you have not enabled the statistics to the required level in the virtualcentre. You have shown that you have level2 stats at 5min, so this should be enough (but try with level3 just incase something is odd, the API keeps changing...)

My guess is that 'SERVER' has not managed to identify your guest correctly. Try using the hostname or IP address.
