Hello, I am following instructions as follows: http://gojooz.blogspot.ie/2009/08/fwd-h ... e-for.html [Install Activestate Perl: http://www.activestate.com/activeperl/ Direct link: http://downloads.activestate.com/Active ... 291086.msi Download the rrdtool zip file for windows Find it here: http://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool/pub/?M=D Direct link: http://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool/pub/rrdto ... erl510.zip Unzip to a temp folder Open a command prompt and change to the following directory C:\Temp\rrdtool-1.2.30-win32-perl510\data\rrd2\rrdtool-1.2.30\bindings\perl-shared> Type ppm install RRDs.ppd Good to go!] I didn't get any errors and all appears to be set up as it should be. The company I'm working for is being split into 2 parts and I have to try and replicate what is already setup so I suppose at least I know what it should look like at the end. In the system already setup I can see additional files rrdcgi.exe and rrdtool.exe. I would have expected these to be included in rrdtool-1.2.30-win32-perl510 but I don't see this. Is there any requirement for having Microsoft Visual? I'm using Windows 2003 R2 by the way. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong? Next step is to get routewatch working as well. Thanks, David |

What you have installed is the Perl RRDs libraries. These are useful, and what you need for the various MRTG/RRD frontends and so on, but it sounds as if you also want to have the Windows binaries for rrdcgi and rrdtool. These should be somewhere in C:\Temp\rrdtool-1.2.30-win32-perl510 under the bin directory. You can copy them out to wherever you require. |
