Hi Steve, I need some help in configuration of Authentication for Routers2.cgi. I have installed latest version 2.18, and configured file authentication using htpasswd.when i am trying to open the site in same local system its authenticating and i am able to open the desired target page. But when i try to open the same site from a different system or remote system it asks for login and password again and again, does not allow to get the target page. I am attaching the configuration files for your reference.

It looks OK, and the fact that it is working when accessed locally indicates that your htpasswd file is correct and the routers2.conf is correct (incidentally, I see you have been a routers2 users for some time... the 'cheshire' URL is still in the comments of your routers2.conf!) My guess is that the browser on your remote machine has security settings which are disabling cookies. The routers2 authentication relies on cookies to hold the token, and so if the cookies are disabled (or if the machine clock is set in the future more than your expiry time, resulting in the cookie expiry) it will not work. Check: 1) The client browser clock is exactly correct, to the minute. 2) The routers2 web server clock is exactly correct, to the minute. 3) The client browser does not have cookies disabled, or has them explicitly enabled for this site.
