Where can I define which target device and which view ALL users will see when routers2.cgi is called? I know this can be done on a per user basis but I would also like to set the default.

For example, when the routers2.cgi file is first opened in a browser, I want target X to display in summary view. How do I do this?

Use the 'defaultrouter' directive in the routers2.conf to specify the default device (cfg file). This can be put into a [user-xxx] section if you want to specify it per-user or in the [routers.cgi] section to affect everyone.

You can also use the 'defaulttarget' option to speciy default target; however this can be problematic if a specified target does not exist on a given device.

Finally, if you have a recent version of routers2.cgi, then there is an undocumented (and not fully tested) feature where you can set the extended option 'default' on a Target and have it become the default target for the device. This is not completely working though which is why it is still undocumented. routers.cgi*Options[xxx]:default
