I need to generate one graphs showing the average CPU utilization for multiple Linux and Windows servers that I'm currently monitoring. Based on what I've been reading I know I need to create a user defined graph but I'm not exactly sure how to do this.

This is the CPU load in my cfg for two separate devices. How do I average them into one graph? Note: I will have to do this for many systems into one graph.

To put your new userdefined graph into the summary page, use this (if your userdefined graph is called 'mygraph'):

routers.cgi*InSummary[mygraph]: yes

This should not affect trending; if you are getting errors, check for other causes. Enable debug in the routers2.conf, then look for debug comments in the generated HTML, and in the web server error log.

Since showing the average CPU for multiple servers is a summary of a summary, you cannot do this with standard routers2. However, you could define a new target for each server which averages the CPU usage OIDs on the Target line, then build a userdefined graph over this.
