Hello everybody, is there an option on "routers.cgi*Options[foobar]: ..." which suppresses the calculation of the average values? I am using the mrtg-ping-probe script to capture ping times. There's currently no way to suppress the Average values in the legend. If you do not have unknaszero set, and so unknown values are unknown, the average will be over the known values only and so more meaningful? |

Ah, thanks for the hint with unknaszero. However, since mrtg-ping-probe returns "0" if the destination is not availbale, I would need an option such as "zeroasunkn" to have that behaviour. Is there something in routers2? |

There is nothing in MRTG or Routers2 to do 'zeroasunkn'; however, you can use 'rrdtool tune' to alter your RRD files to achieve this. Simply make the Minimum value for the DS as something very very small (less than 10% of your expected lowest ping time) but not zero -- eg, 0.000001 -- and the underlying RRD will see 0 as being out of range, and store it as Unknown. This should do the trick. Steve |
