| Post subject: | How to install mod_perl? |
Hi Steve, I just updated my routers2.cgi package to 2.23. Thanks a lot for all these bugfixes! During the installation I recognized the following sentence: "* You will get much better performance if you use mod_perl under Apache or speedycgi (unix). This caches the config file data for added speed." So my question is: Do I only need to install this module for my webserver (sudo apt-get install libapache2-mod-perl2) and need to restart it, or are there any further steps I have to do? Thanks! It is probably sufficient to just install mod_perl. Depending on how your config files are, you might need to have the script named 'routers2.pl' rather than 'routers2.cgi' for Apache to use mod_perl to run it. You'll need to read the mod_perl documentation... |
