Hello,
I am running routers2 v2.16, against rrd 1.2.10 and mrtg 2.12.2.
I am seeing different avg and max values being reported on the daily graphs, as compared to the summary and compact summary graphs.
This is somewhat perplexing considering the datasource is the same.
Are these displays/graphs being generated differently, or am I missing a setting, etc?

Can you post some example images (or email them to me)?

The summary and main graphs are generated by the same code usingt he same function calls, so they're not likely to be different. The comapct summary is slightly different, since on this the Max and Avg are for a strict 24hr period (on the daily graph) whereas the normal graphs are for 400 data points (a day plus a bit). Also, the summary graphs are usually for only 200 data points (less than a day) so again the set can be different.

So, if the line hit 10 on datapoint 400, 8 on datapoint 300 and 5 on datapoint 200 (and was at 0 everywhere else) then the main graph would show a max of 10 (max over 400 dps), the comapct would show a max of 8 (since this is within the 24h time window, but the 10 is not), and the summary graph would have 5 (summary graph is over 200dps).

That would explain that there are differences. I can correlate the summary to the compact, the the differences between those and the main are subtle, so I can "assume" that they are accurate in representing their associated calculations of the dataset. I'll take a look at one or two and see if I can calculate them.
