You can obtain the image file only from the web interface by using the additional option 'page=image' in the URL (click the Bookmark button to get the URL for the page you're viewing). This can be collected via something like curl or wget.
Alternatively, the routers2.cgi script can be run from the command line under UNIX or Windows to output the image file directly which can then be dealt with as you wish; the documentation with Routers2 gives details on this.
