IS there a way to get it to hide the Interface IP if it's empty? I am monitoring several switches which have no ip's associated with the interface. gets annoying seeing:
Bandwidth: 100 Mbps
Interface IP:
In: Max 15.21 M, Avg 184.52 k, Last 44.03 k

thanks!

HMM, it should do this already.

I think the problem is that you have in your definition:

SetEnv[target]: MRTG_INT_IP=""

so that you are setting it (hence it is displayed) but it is set to blank. Remove this bit, and it should hide the IP Address line.

I'll give it a shot. thanks!

EDIT:

Not working.

I went without an SetEnv line and with this one:
SetEnv[192.168.61.7_1]: MRTG_INT_DESCR=""

still shows it.

This is odd. I'm trying to duplicate the behaviour here, and I haven't managed to do so yet. Something is causing the ipaddress attribute to be defined to blank...

The code should only display the IP Address line if the {ipaddress} attribute is defined. This in turn only happens if it can obtain the IP address from the SetEnv line, or from what looks like a SNMP interface lookup in the Target[] line, or from parsing of the .ok file. In your case, the IP address field is empty, so its even more weird.

Can you tell me which version of routers2.cgi you are running (see the bottom of the main frame)?

One (ugly) workaround would be to add MRTG_INT_IP="N/A" which would at least display something other than blank, but obviously it's better to completely omit the IP line.

I have made a change to v2.15b4 that would prevent this from happening, but I'd still like to know how these attributes became set (to blank). Let me know if you'd like a copy of 2.15b4 for trial.

Steve
