Is there a way to trigger alerts or execute an external script in a per-target treshold basis?, I mean something like this: routers.cgi*TriggerOnValue[target]: 1000 routers.cgi*TriggerScriptAction[target]: /usr/local/scripts/script.sh or routers.cgi*TriggerOnValue[target]: 1000 routers.cgi*TriggerMailAction[target]: user@domain.com or any other feature that can be used with routers.cgi to trigger some kind of action when thresholds are reached? Thanks. |

These features already exist within MRTG - check the MRTG documentation on Thresholds, or section 3.3 in Appendix B of the book. You can use ThreshMaxI[] and ThreshMinI[] to set thresholds, then ThreshProgI[] and ThreshProgOKI[] to set program actions or ThreshMailAddress[] to specify a mail recipient to notify. Similar directives exist with 'O' suffix for Outbound thresholds. Steve |
