Is there a way we can rename the interfaces? what I'm asking is that I'm monitoring a router and every port is listed by number.. is there a way I can set a name instead?

You can use the .cfg file directive,

routers.cgi*ShortName[]: xxxx

to define what appears in the menu. If this is not defined, then you can also set the 'SetEnv[]: IF_DESCR="xxxx"' definition to set a short name, or one will be worked out from what is known about the interface (in this case, you get the interface number)
