This error message appears in routers2 if you have version 1.2.x of RRDTool but a version of routers previous to 2.16beta7.
To correct this problem, upgrade routers2 to 2.16 or later, which has full support for RRDTool 1.2.x
Alternatively, you can use earlier versions if you have the 'withdate = no' option set. This is not fully tested previous to 2.15, though.
The trend.cgi trending plugin does not work reliably with RRDTool 1.2.x until routers.cgi v2.16.
