Neither NRPE nor pNSclient was written by me; however I have created some perl-based tools to allow then to be queried by MRTG.

Thanks for the update!

It is worth noting that you are now able to install the livestatus module and the Thruk frontend, which provide not only the same functionality as downtime_sched, but much much more. We are now using this as a solution instead of downtime_sched.
