| Post subject: | routers2.cgi not working on nagios install |
I'm trying to make mrtg run on a server with an existing nagios installation (nagios v3.2.0 on ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS). Nagios is running, and MRTG works without RRD, but once I enable RRD and routers2 things fall apart. Browsing to the mrtg site now gives me a listing of the files instead of the site. I tried pulling up 'mysite/cgi-bin/routers2.cgi?page=verify' and didn't get anything, then just for testing I copied the 'routers2.cgi' file to the local webroot/cgi-bin folder, and then I just get the text of the routers2.cgi file. I've gone through a TON of install and troubleshooting docs, but I'm having a tough time reconciling what I'm reading to the existing Nagios install, which has the cgi files in '/usr/bin/cgi-bin', which I entered as the cgi directory in the routers2 setup script. I've seen references to apache's httpd.conf file as the place to confirm where apache looks for cgi stuff, but it's *completely empty*, and I don't know enough about nagios to know where those settings might have gone. I'm thinking it's a cgi problem, but it nagios appears to be using CGI correctly, so it couldn't be TOO broken. Any suggestions? Thanks, ch |
