I am seeing this error as well. I also get these error with the aforementioned: Winsock error 997 trying to send to NSCA. Check the error logs for the NSCA server! Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

This is when the agent is unable to send to the NSCA server. Check these: 1) You have actually installed NSCA on your Nagios box. 2) The NSCA agent is running (or it is geing called via xinetd) and you get an answer on tcp/5667 (try telnet nagioshost 5667) 3) Make sure you have the same encryption settings, if any, on both ends 4) Check your log on the Nagios NSCA end for any helpful error messages 5) Have you managed to get send_nsca working from anywhere else? If not, then it indicates ythat you havent set up NSCA correctly yet 6) Check for firewalls between you and the Nagios box, remember you need tcp/5667 inbound to Nagios opened. There may be a host firewall on the Nagios server? |
