Suggest install.pl , have a '-' option to allow keeping a record of selections & input in a file from the install . Sure would help with the upgrade , 16 months after the install tia , JimL |

How about the install.pl taking an optional argument, being the location of your routers2.conf file? Since this file contains the results of all your install options - and the subsequent customisations - and this file is preserved on upgrade in any case, all that the install.pl needs to know is the location of the iconpath, the cgi-bin, and the perl executable. Although, on reflection, there are a few weird configurations that this wouldnt work for. I'll think it over... maybe install.pl should store the selected options in the routers2.conf and pull them back this way as defaults? |
