Hi,

I have just installed the plugins in order to monitor esx, but have an error when I'm trying to test it :

Can't call method "sessionManager" on an undefined value at /usr/local/share/perl/5.10.0/VMware/VIM2Runtime.pm line 444

Does anyone have an idea of how I can avoid this problem ?

Ive not come across this before - it is an error in the VMWare Perl library so I can't do much about it. Possibly this is a perl 5.10 incompatibilty? I've not tersted with 5.10, only 5.8 so far.

Make sure you have the absolute latest version of the Perl toolkit from the VMWare site, and also the most up to date HTTP::Message module (theres a known bug in earlier versions of HTTP::Message that can have this sort of effect)

The toolkit i use came from sourceforge, not from VMWare site.
I will try to reinstall the toolkit to be sure to have the latest one...

It works !
It was a problem with the user rights on the esx. It has been fixed, and works fine now.

Thanks for letting me know.
The VMWare API is a bit bad on error catching and reporting sadly; I hope future versions will report things in a more catchable and friendly way...
