Hello,
New B to nagios xi and I'm looking for help.
1) I download the Nagous Xi 2009R1.2C as a VM and place it on the virtual infrastructure
2 )Installing the SDK from VMware web
Downloaded the VMware-vSpher-Perl-SDK-4.1.1.0-254719.i386.tar
3) installed the Nagios plugins perl Library
yum install -yq perl-Class-Accessor perl-Config-Tiny perl-Math-Calc-Units perl-Params-Validate
donwload and installed the perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.33.e15
rpm -Uvh perl-Nagios-Plugin-*.rpm
3) download the monitoring wizard
http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Ad ... rd/detailsWith the wizzard I configured the ESXi host to monitor, CPU usage for VM Host, Datastore usage for VMHost, Input/Output for VMHost, Memory for VMHost, Networking for VMHoset, Services for VMHost and VM Status for VMHost. Everything works well.
My problem... the wizard also has an option to monitor VMs from the host. When I run the wizard to monitor a guest VM on the VMware host; I click on the Guest Selection tab, I get this error..
"It appears as though the VMware SDK has not yet been installed on your Nagios XI server. You must install the SDK before you are able to use this wizard". I know that the SDK has been installed but the wizard still says that there is no SDK.
I'm trying to use this wizard or any other means (another nicely written wizard) to monitor the VMs by using the host esxi or VCenter.
I’m running ESXi 4.0.0, 244038
