Your Nagios2 seems to have the embedded Perl compiler which is not as forgiving as my non-embedded one.

Anyways, I'm rewriting a bit of check_esx at the moment, in order to cope with the new format of the /proc files in v3.0. I'll be posting it today or tomorrow (I hope) and this will have a much stricter syntax compilance for the benefit of embedded perl users.

Okej, sounds great I'm looking forward to try it. At least now I know that the embedded perl most likely is the source of the problem(s).
