Hi, I'm aware that the 2.4 version doesn't work properly with esx 3.0... but the command seems to be working OK it's just Nagios is saying the service is down, "Critical". Is there something in the nagios config that I've missed? kerberos:~# /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_esx2 -H 10.2.32.4 VHosts: 5/5 up: REDHAT EL4 - Cpa(32), REDHAT EL4 - Dev(80), REDHAT EL4 - Abs(64), debian - Logbook(96), REDHAT EL4 - Plo(48) |

There is a bug in the vhosts check in that the default thresholds are not realistic. If you explicitly set a warn/critical threshold for number of hosts up then this will not give a critical (it is defaulting to a threshold of c=80, so since 5 hosts are up and 5<80 it goes critical...) I have 2.5 here (not yet released) which corrects the bug and defauts to sensible values (ie, w=maxhosts and c=1) We're getting a ESX3 server installed here this month after which I can properly work on the ESX 3 testing. v2.5 is close, but still has a couple of issues reported by beta testers and I need a live server to examine to fix them, |
