Hi all, Trying to use v2.4 to monitor ESXv3.5 servers, and I keep getting errors on the vmware.nagios.template.cfg file. I think I followed the installation instructions pretty closely, but it seems to not recognise any of the variables used, such as %time%, %notifytime%, svc-passive etc. Any ideas what I've done wrong? |

Those variables in the example configurations are just placeholders to show you the sort of thing you need to put in. The check_esx2 (as I shipped it) does not work correctly with ESX3.5 or ESX3i. There is a new check_vmware currently in beta which uses the Perl API instead and works with all the versions of ESX. |
