Thanks for pushing me to the next level!
That absolutely did work. I needed to add the command.

I am not faced with an issue of my test events not reporting back to the server. I have checked a few logs and on my Windows server which is hosting my Nagios EventLog Service Control Manager, I am getting a bunch of messages in my Windows application event log:

The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( NagiosEventLog ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Skipping filter System Log as it is for another log: [System]!=[Security].

I have also checked my /var/adm/messages log on my Nagios server:

I have also enabled Avtive Checks too. (just to see if it helped anything, which it did not)

Thanks for everything. Yes, All is going well now. But I still am unable to send the Test Events. I must be doing something wrong, only the real events work. Weird!

Thanks and I will be looking into the MRTG next.
