Hello All,

I've been trying to make a cfgmaker file to monitor an IPv6 interface
but to no avail. can anyone help me on this or point me in the right direction?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Which version of MRTG and cfgmaker are you using?

I think you need ot have the absolute latest; Im not 100% sure if cfgmaker supports IPv6 though MRTG does, with some additional options.

I'm using mrtg version 2.16.2-5ubuntu2.

I finally got to make it work, the problem was I think was that the
snmp version 1 does not support IPv6 so I had to use snmp version
3. Here's the cfgmaker commands I used. Hope it may be useful
to someone else someday.

cfgmaker --output=/etc/mrtg/mrtgtestnat64.cfg \
--global "workdir: /var/www/mrtg" -ifref=eth \
--global 'options[_]: growright,bits' \
--enablesnmpv3 --username=Your created username \
--authpassword=Your set password --authproto=md5 \
--snmp-options=:::::3 \
--contextengineid=The engine id\
--enable-ipv6 \
--no-down \
--snmp-options=:::::3 \
craz33guy@localhost
