Hi,

i´am going to provide german translation. I just started but need to ask a couple of collegues and people from other (non tech) source to check.

Now i have a question: Whats about umlauts like the a with 2 points above.
Do you know what i mean ? Well i can do them all like ae or oe and so on.

Thanks for volunteering! We now have German, French, Russian, Chinese(trad), Maori, Polish and Hebrew in the works.

Obviously, there is no problem with umlauts and other accents in the icons as they are just graphics.

For the text in the .conf file, the messages in the 6xxx range will *probably* be OK with 8-bit ascii characters. The other messages are fine as long as you specify the correct character set in the charset = option.

We already have working Russian and Chinese language packs, so non-ascii characters are not a problem except in the 6xxx in-graph messages.

Update - RRD v1.2 can /probably/ support accented characters in the image, IE the 6xxx range of text. This needs to be verified, though. For other languages it is not certain and may depend on how your RRDTool library was compiled (IE, with what freetype library and fonts).
