I have installed the latest version of downtime_sched from NagiosExchange and installed it as per the instructions. Unfortunatly, keep getting the following error in the Apache2 logs when I try to view downtime_sched.cgi:

Code:
[Tue Feb 28 15:58:49 2006] [error] [client 172.29.6.86] (8)Exec format error: exec of '/usr/local/nagios/sbin/downtime_sched.cgi' failed, referer: http://172.29.1.52/nagios/side.html
[Tue Feb 28 15:58:49 2006] [error] [client 172.29.6.86] Premature end of script headers: downtime_sched.cgi, referer: http://172.29.1.52/nagios/side.html

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Are you using windows or unix for apache? Did you correctly modify the #! line at the start of the cgi script to give the correct location for the perl executable? Can you run the script from the command line (it might produce error messages that would help)

First, make sure you have the latest version of the script (get it from http://www.nagiosexchange.org )

Second, try running the script from the command line - there is probably an error coming. Also, check the Error log from your web server, which might contain the reason why the script is crashing. Usually, this sort of problem is a missing Perl module, or an incorrect #! line at the beginning of the script.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the reply! It was my fault... in the downtime_sched.cgi I had commented out the line giving a path to $objects. I thought since I was using version 1 that I should comment this out. Turns out i'm an idiot! :)

Thanks
DC
