Hi,

I've installed the downtime_sched script to add recurring downtime for servers grouped in a hostgroup. When I add a hostgroup to the "recurring hostgroup downtime" I can see that the downtime for the hosts is scheduled but not for the assigned services.

When the hosts in the hostgroup reboots the services assigned to the hosts still generates criticals. Is there an option somewhere to not send criticals or warnings about the services when the host is down?

Thank in advance

The 'hostgroup downtime' is supposed to only schedule downtime for the hosts in the hostgroup. Services should have an automatic dependency on the parent host, which should mean that if the host is in scheduled downtime, then the service will not alert. This certainly seems to be the case on our Nagios installation (v3.1.2). Check the Nagios documentation on this one...
