Sorry, no - this is in the FAQbecause it is asked for so often.

Basically, it is because of many reasons - the data are in differrent files, and it would be hard to verify valid date ranges - but mostly because of the nature of the RRD data structure, you d not have the required granularity avaiable at a generic time range and verifying valid ranges and granularities would be extremely hard.

You might like to check the routers2.conf (and make sure the rrd-archive script is pointing to the correct version of this) as there are expire settings in there as well which take priority over the defaults in the script itself.
Also the cfg file can set archive settings which take priority over everything.

Ive never seen this sort of behaviour but it looks like you have expiredaily set to zero...
