Cheshire Cat Computing

Hi,

I am trying to use mrtg with rrdtool using routers2.cgi as the frontend to monitor some network traffic. I have installed mrtg, rrdtool and routers2 on a vm running Ubuntu Server Edition, But when I try to run routers2.cgi using my web browser I am not able to see any graphs. Rest, everything is fine with the webpage. i m getting the following error from error log

/usr/bin/perl: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libcairo.so.2: undefined symbol: pixman_region32_init

and the graphs are not visible, any idea

You do not have the RRDTool Perl module installed correctly, and are possibly missing some of the supporting packages. Routers2 is failing to generate the graphs because the RRDTool module will not run the functions, and this is because the libcairo is apparently a too old version.

You do not say how you installed RRDTool. You may have used an updated libcairo when compiling but the OS has an older one. Try updating the OS libcairo if possible, or recompile using static libraries.
