Hello!

How can I add a customized Button in the graphview (the best would be next to the "CSV File"-Button) which is taking me to another device in the routers2.cgi

some more details:
I'm building a system for monitoring LAN-components.
I have 2 config-files for every device.
One config file is for collecting the traffic amount on every port for the device.
The second one is for collecting the errors on every port for the device.
I realized this with a perl-script which is generating a modified error-conf-file from the traffic-conf-file (which is generated with cfgmaker).

These conf-files are organized in two groups: Errors and Traffic

it would be a great feature if i could switch between Errors and Traffic with a simple button.

Would be great if you can give me some hints. (i am a newbie to web-progamming)

There already exists a feature to enable you to do this!

Using the directive

routers.cgi*Extension[targetname]:

you can define a new link to appear at the bottom of the page - it doesnt appear as a button, but as a text link immediately above the buttons. This will let you link to any URL you choose, in the same or a new frame.

However, if you want to link to a separate routers.cgi graph, you should instead use the

routers.cgi*Link[targetname]:

directive. This lets you specify a separate cfg file and targetname to link to within routers.cgi, with link text if you want.

For an example of this, you can see the doc/EXAMPLES, or the ourput from the buildwan.pl script (it uses this to link the interfaces at different ends of a WAN link).

You can see the doc/MRTG_INFO file for the syntax of this directive.

I reviewed the documentation again (after your hints) and found the routers.cgi*Link[targetname] directive.

This solved my problem.
