OK, I should have tested more thoroughly.

It works with all message IDs less than 256, and all other message flags. Of course I tested with IDs under 256, didn't I? :roll:

Right. This one (1.7.0a) has the 1-byte change which will support message IDs up to 65535, and I've tested it with them, too. Sorry for the stuffup, too much 'real' work going on... v1.7.0a is available from or from nagiosexchange.org.
