Basically I need the 1 min graph(6 hour view) to be archived for future reference.

Is it possible to add this function in your rrd-archiving facility ?

It already does this. The rrd-archive utility archives the .rrd file, whatever its contents. If your .rrd file has a 1-min interval, then it will be archived like this and you can get the 6-hour graphs from it.

Right now I am scheduling the rrd-archive utility to be running every midnight.
I can only get the archived 6 hour graph from 18:00 to 23:59.

How can I get the archived 6 hour graph for whole day(24 hours)?

Should i schedule the rrd-archive utility to be running every 6 hours
instead of every day ?

Aha, I see what you mean.

First, enable 'extendedtime' in the routers2.conf. That lets you hop back one timeperiod, if your rrd files are large enough - letting you go back a further 6 hours.

The awkward thing is that the data is actually available in the .rrd file (usually) but routers2 cannot easily get to it. At the moment, you would need to archive every 1/2 day, and that is not possible with the current routers2 and archiving.

This will need to go into the wishlist, probably connected to the 'ad-hoc time window graphs' issue. Not so easy to implement...
