Hi Steve
Many thanks for your excellent check_vmware plugin!

I'm using it top monitor my vmware clusters via nagios, and I'm now venturing to graph the performance f the entire vmware data center, and sub-clusters using mrtg. Being new to VMware, I'm having a little trouble understanding VMware cluster performance reporting: Are the numbers I'm reading from via the VMware API using check_vmware.pl believable ? How can I compare? What kind of accuracy can I expect?
Could you suggest a process I could use, and possibly point me in the direction of some reading material that dals with this subject, , or some other means by which I could verify the accuracy of the graphs I'm seeing in MRTG (cpu, memory, datastore usage, network traffic). Specifically, I have doubts about the network traffic results reported by check_vmware in mrtg mode: when ever I poll, I get the exact same number for "outgoing traffic" as I do for "incoming traffic", implying that the rate at which traffic is going out of the physical interfaces of the cluster(s) equals the rate at which traffic is leaving outbound those interfaces

Is this a bug in the script and if so is there a patch for this ?
There's also some debate among my fellow admins as to wether it's possible at all to obtain accurate datastore utilisation stats from the vmware cluster

What kind of caveats would one have to observer when interpreting datastore graphs generated using check_vmware.pl ?
Btw, script version: 1.13
Thanks!
